Dr. B. R. Ambedkar
In the heart of India, a voice
arose,
From the shadows of caste and its ancient woes,
Born in Mhow, a child of pain,
Injustice burned like an endless chain,
Yet he carried a fire, a resolute will,
To shatter the walls, to climb the hill.
Denied by society, he sought the skies,
Through books and knowledge, he did rise.
A scholar, a thinker, a force so bold,
In his hands, the future began to unfold.
To Columbia he went, across the
seas,
To learn, to question, to find the keys,
With a mind so sharp, with ideas profound,
He laid his roots in knowledge's ground.
Law and economics became his tools,
Breaking barriers, defying rules.
He returned to a land that called his name,
To challenge a system entrenched in shame.
For equality's cause, he took the lead,
Sowing in hearts the justice seed.
Against the tide, he stood so
tall,
Demanding freedom, dignity for all.
The caste-bound chains he vowed to break,
For the rights of millions, his stand he'd take.
In assemblies, his voice was clear,
For the downtrodden, he brought them near.
The Constitution became his lasting art,
Ensuring justice in every part.
With each word he wrote, a nation gained,
Its soul redeemed, its honor retained.
He fought for labor, for land,
for rights,
For women’s voices and workers’ plights.
Untouchables found in him a guide,
A leader who stood firmly by their side.
For education, he lit a burning flame,
For empowerment, he reshaped the game.
“No caste, no creed,” his vision rang,
Through India's halls, his ideals sang.
He taught the oppressed to dream, to strive,
To build a world where all can thrive.
When he embraced the Dhamma's
call,
He sought a path of peace for all.
Converting to Buddhism, he found a way,
To end the darkness, to bring the day.
The Ashokan Wheel, a symbol anew,
He gave to the flag, with a vision true.
He redefined faith, he reshaped belief,
Guiding millions to find relief.
A warrior for truth, his fight was just,
In his legacy, we place our trust.
Today, his name is a beacon
bright,
A symbol of justice, a source of light.
Dr. Ambedkar, the people's guide,
A towering figure, India's pride.
His words inspire, his deeds remain,
A balm for centuries of pain.
From the margins, he rose to the core,
A voice of change forevermore.
In every heart, his dream survives,
A just and equal world where freedom thrives.
