Lord Muruga: The Divine Warrior

Lord Muruga: The Divine Warrior

Born of Shiva’s flame, a celestial might,
In the peaks of Kailasa, a radiant light,
With six faces and wisdom profound,
The universe echoed his sacred sound.
Muruga, the lord of valor and grace,
In his presence, darkness finds no place.

Kartikeya, by many names he is known,
On peacock he rides, to evil dethrone.
His spear, the Vel, shines bright and pure,
A symbol of power, a tool to cure.
With Valli and Deivanai by his side,
He reigns as protector, a cosmic guide.

In Palani’s hills, his presence abides,
A haven of faith where devotion resides.
He shed his ornaments, embraced the earth,
Showing the path to inner worth.
A child, a warrior, a sage so wise,
In Muruga’s love, the spirit flies.

At Tiruchendur, where the waves embrace,
He fought Surapadman with divine grace.
A protector of dharma, a slayer of sin,
With every battle, his devotees win.
His temple stands, a beacon of light,
Drawing pilgrims day and night.

In Thirupparankundram, his blessings flow,
Where celestial energies eternally glow.
The marriage of Muruga, a divine tale,
A bond of love that will never pale.
His devotees chant with hearts so wide,
“Muruga, Muruga,” their eternal guide.

Kavadi bearers with faith so deep,
Walk miles in penance, promises to keep.
In songs of Tamil, his glory is sung,
In every syllable, his praises are rung.
The Skanda Shasti reminds his might,
A triumph of dharma over the night.

In Swamimalai, he taught his sire,
The Pranava mantra, a truth so dire.
Wisdom flows from his youthful form,
Guiding souls through life’s storm.
He is knowledge, he is strength, he is peace,
A lord whose blessings never cease.

Oh Muruga, Lord of eternal flame,
The heavens resound with your holy name.
With Vel in hand, you lead the way,
Dispersing darkness, bringing the day.
In every heart, your light does reside,
An everlasting, sacred guide.
