Gautama Buddha

                                   Gautama Buddha

In realms of ancient wisdom, there arose a sage,
Gautama Buddha, with teachings that engage.
Born a prince, amidst splendours' embrace,
He chose a path of enlightenment to trace.

Under the Bodhi tree's canopy grand,
With unwavering focus, he'd understand.
The nature of suffering, its cause and cure,
To guide humanity, his heart was pure.

Renouncing his throne, he sought the truth,
In the depths of his soul, a fire uncouth.
The Four Noble Truths, he did unfold,
A roadmap to liberation, for the young and old.

The Eightfold Path, a compass to guide,
Leading to wisdom, compassion beside.
Buddha's teachings, like lotus petals, spread,
Bringing light to hearts heavy with dread.

Through meditation and mindfulness taught,
Inner peace and enlightenment were sought.
Compassion for all beings, a golden rule,
His wisdom, a beacon for the wise to school.

In lands near and far, his teachings flowed,
A river of wisdom, a path well-trode.
A legacy of unity and boundless love,
Buddha's message still echoes from above.

Sculptures and temples, in his honor rise,
A testament to his teachings that still advise.
Gautama Buddha, a symbol of serenity,
Guiding us toward truth, with boundless certainty.

In his footsteps, we seek a mindful way,
To find peace within, and light our day.
Gautama Buddha, with heart aglow,
Your wisdom continues to inspire and grow.
